The Role

Tasks

-Develop and implement robust internal controls and streamline accounting processes for greater efficiency and accuracy. -Liaise with bankers, corporate secretaries, and other professional service providers. -Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and filed. -Handle corporate tax computations and filing of Estimated Chargeable Income (ECI) and Form C. -Monitor cash flow, prepare cash flow forecasts, and manage working capital effectively. -Prepare and submit accurate GST returns to the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) on a quarterly basis. -Perform monthly closing and reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts (bank reconciliations, inter-company accounts, etc.). -Ensure full compliance with all statutory requirements, including filings with ACRA (Annual Returns) and staying updated on changes in Singapore's financial regulations. -Manage the full set of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and fixed assets. -Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors to ensure a smooth and efficient audit. -Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in accordance with SFRS. -Manage withholding tax procedures where applicable. -Conduct variance analysis against budget and prior periods, providing meaningful insights to management for decision-making. -Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and financial projections.

What You Bring

-Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines. -High level of integrity and professionalism when dealing with confidential information. -Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field. -Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in handling the full set of accounts, preferably within the tourism, attractions or hospitality environment in Singapore. -Professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA, CA (Singapore), CPA or equivalent are highly advantageous. -Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. -Ability to build and lead the finance team for the company. -Proven experience in preparing financial statements and managing audit processes. -Essential: Proficiency in accounting software - Xero and QuickBooks, and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs). -Candidates must have in-depth knowledge of Singapore GAAP (SFRS), GST, and corporate tax regulations. -Strong understanding of internal controls and financial compliance.
