Tasks

-To act as the lead engineer in a design team being responsible for electrical building services concept and detailed design -Ensuring that the design and maintenance of building systems meets legislative and health and safety requirements -Producing reports, drawings and specifications to suit various RIBA design stages -Liaising closely with other professionals, including structural engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors of in-house and external project teams -Mentoring and developing junior engineers -Attending a range of project group and technical meetings -Supervising and monitoring the work of others in this function -Using specialist computer-aided design (CAD) and BIM (Revit) software and other resources to design the systems required for the project -To lead MEP engineering teams delivering a range of project work

What You Bring

-Having an accredited relevant degree or higher educational qualification in an applicable discipline (HNC/HND) -Excellent communication skills and willing to work as part of a close-knit team towards a shared goal. -Managing risk within MEP engineering projects; having good working knowledge of MEP scope/appointments and excellent commercial acumen -To have achieved or working towards IEng or CEng status. -Significant experience within an electrical building services design role from either a consultant or contractor background. -Attention to detail and a strong desire to deliver high standards of client care. -Ability to foster long term productive working relationships. -Excellent project management skills.
