
Mid-Market Account Manager – TPI Sales

The Role
Overview
Manage and grow mid-market B2B energy accounts, focusing on acquisition, renewal, and TPI partnerships.

Tasks
-Identifying and driving internal improvements to the customer proposition and delivery of services to the assigned customers, working with the relevant departments to enable timely implementation. -Work closely with the TPI BDM to ensure effective communication between Account Managers and Business Development activity, with an emphasis on building effective relationships and increasing conversion rates. -Manage and develop new and existing TPI partnerships to increase new business revenue through the channel. Including managing engagement through telephone and face to face meetings and maximising opportunity. -Understand and Develop a Key Account Management Process in conjunction with Customer Operations with the emphasis on maximising retention and revenue. -Working closely with Yu Energy’s Commercial Team to ensure opportunities are understood in terms of risk, credit and overall commerciality of the deal. -Deliver personal sales targets – Developing and Managing your own renewal portfolio to maximise retention and revenue -Play an active role within the overall Yu Energy sales structure to increase efficiencies, reduce errors and promote a “first-time right” approach to non-sales specific tasks. To support building TPI relations through an effective sales support function. -Negotiate gas and electricity supply contracts within delegated authority levels. -To support or actively manage, where appropriate, all Key Account Tenders for new and existing business. The emphasis being on those tenders which are over an agreed size (either sites or AQ) or have more “complex” requirements. -Proactively develop and improve propositions with TPIs, identifying additional areas of added value business for both parties -Monitor/Report on competitor/TPI activity where required -Prospecting and identifying new business opportunities, so as to exceed Acquisition sales targets for customers with a higher energy spend across our TPI’s -Production of bespoke sales quotations and tenders for TPI’s and processing of all contracts -Owning the relationship with our more valuable customers, ensuring all aspects of each account is running in line with expectations.

What You Bring
-Experience and knowledge of the business energy sector (desirable) -Strong planning & Organisational skills -Exceptional Relationship Building skills -IT Literate -Proven ability to manage long term relationships -Ability to manage high workloads and balance priorities -Excellent communication & presentation skills -Able to demonstrate a high level of focus and emotional resilience -A high level of relevant Industry experience is essential -Skilled in negotiation and closing sales at all levels -Degree level preferred although not essential. A good level of general education being articulate and numerate is essential. -A minimum of 2 Years’ experience of new business development in a B2B environment -Experience of working within a TPI Framework is desirable but not essential
