Tasks

The Sustainability Advisor supports the delivery of Gamuda’s Seeds for Growth strategy by embedding sustainability across all project phases — from early planning and procurement through to construction. Working closely with design, commercial, and delivery teams, the role provides technical input on sustainability documentation, compliance, certification, and innovation. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professionals looking to grow their sustainability career, particularly those with infrastructure experience seeking to apply their skills to ESG outcomes. The Advisor contributes to EOIs and RFPs, supports project implementation and reporting, and helps drive continuous improvement in sustainability performance across Gamuda’s projects. -Support corporate sustainability reporting, data management, and lessons learned processes. -Monitor changes in sustainability regulations, frameworks, and industry trends to support continuous improvement. -Engage with subcontractors and suppliers to support sustainability-related requirements and initiatives. -Support the preparation of sustainability-related returnable schedules and deliverables for EOIs, RFPs, and ECIs. -Assist in coordinating third-party certification processes (e.g. TfNSW SDG, ISC, Green Star), including evidence collection and audit preparation. -Contribute to internal capability-building through training, toolkits, and the promotion of best practice. -Assist with establishing early-phase sustainability strategies and documentation during project mobilisation.

What You Bring

-Minimum 3 years’ experience in sustainability roles on major infrastructure projects. -Proven communication, stakeholder engagement, and mentoring capabilities. -Strong understanding of sustainability strategy and compliance in a construction environment. -Familiarity with third-party certification systems such as ISC, Green Star, LEED, or BREEAM. -Tertiary qualifications in Architecture, Engineering, Project Management, Accounting, Environmental Science, or a related discipline (e.g. Environmental Management, Sustainability). -GSAP or ISAP accreditation (or equivalent) with experience in delivering a sustainability rating.
