Overview

Fabricate and repair metal structures using MIG, TIG, and stick welding per specs.

Tasks

-Interpret and follow blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to accurately complete welding tasks. -Inspect welds for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to specifications; conduct tests to ensure welds meet required standards. -Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment; report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions. -Perform MIG, TIF, and/or stick welding on metal components and assemblies according to blueprints, specifications, and safety standards. -Work closely with others to ensure timely completion of projects and resolve any welding-related issues. -Prepare materials for wielding by cutting, grinding, and cleaning metal surfaces; handle and store materials safely and efficiently. -Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools, including setting up machines, changing electrodes, and ensuring proper functioning.

-Excellent precision and accuracy in welding tasks including a commitment to producing high-quality work. -Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. -Experience in the oil and gas industry preferred. -Welding certification(s) from an accredited institution or organization preferred. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and work in various environmental conditions. -Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. -High School Diploma and one (1) year of MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding experience or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. -Working knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and equipment.
