The Role

Overview

Assist senior engineer with traffic incident management research, stakeholder coordination, and field work.

Tasks

-Participate in stakeholder engagement meetings with a multi-disciplined audience of first responders discussing current safety matters -Perform other duties as needed such as developing real-world after-action review meeting agendas, PowerPoint content, notes, etc. -Work alongside a multi-discipline team of TIM/TSMO specialists that includes former first responders -Work under the guidance and direct supervision of a senior-level Engineer to assist with researching TIM and TSMO industry trends and technologies

What You Bring

-Currently enrolled as a sophomore, junior or senior at an accredited college or university in the field of criminal justice, emergency management, or related field -Must possess strong problem-solving and communication skills -Be able to work in both a professional office setting and in the field -Applicants must include a resume, cover letter and letter of recommendation from their advisor addressed to the HDR TIM Team -A willingness to learn and develop knowledge in Traffic Incident Management -Possess a strong moral character, attention to detail, problem-solving and communication skills -Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program -Attention to detail a must -Basic Microsoft Office skills
