Tasks
-access or use the online application process and need an alternative method for applying -Performing aggregate sampling and gradation testing at quarries, gravel pits and testing lab sites -Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel -Operating heavy equipment -Participating in production and quality control planning -Complete capstone project/presentation to be shared with Company leadership at the end of the internship -complete any part of the application process -Performing manual and skilled labor tasks -Support, promote, and practice the Company core values, vision, and mission; follow code of ethics, workplace conduct, safety, and other established policies -Wearing and maintaining personal protective equipment (PPE) required -Assisting work crews in manufacturing and crushing operations -Assisting quality control staff with lab duties related to materials testing and mix designs -Meet regularly with assigned mentor to discuss ideas, navigate challenges, and gain insight -Embrace the Company’s safety culture, actively support all safety initiatives, and adhere to defined accountabilities implemented by the Safety Steering and Continuous Improvement teams

What You Bring
-Regularly required to communicate (talk and hear) -Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment -Frequent exposure to dust, airborne particles and chemicals -Basic computer skills including use of MS Office Products -Current enrollment in a relevant Bachelor’s degree program such as Mining Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering or equivalent -Frequently required to stand/work on feet for long periods, and walking across uneven terrain -Frequent exposure to working around moving equipment and machinery -Frequently exposed to all weather conditions -Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl -Valid driver's license and ability to maintain clean driving record required -Work performed indoors and outdoors; noise exposure varies from quiet to loud -Regularly required to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
