Tasks

-Participate in design reviews to evaluate design concepts and make recommendations -Follow the company’s CAD and quality standards -Maintain status of assigned tasks on team schedule -Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Work with our engineering teams to develop civil designs for infrastructure projects, supporting construction activities on Kiewit projects -Use Civil 3D software to produce design for estimate and construction documents

What You Bring

-Critical thinking skills are necessary with the ability to plan and conceptualize -Capable of recognizing conflicts and discrepancies with strong attention to detail -Knowledge in Autodesk Civil 3D is a plus -Regular, reliable attendance -Ability to clearly communicate and collaborate with Engineers and Designers -Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment -Pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer-Aided Design, Engineering Technology, Construction Management (BIM focus) or similar program experience -General knowledge of engineering principles and materials for civil/ geotechnical work -Construction experience is a plus -Read and understand construction documents -Additional experience in Revit, or Navisworks is a plus -Work productively and meet deadlines timely -Ability to create basic surfaces, alignments, profiles & sections -Basic skills in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) -Experience in basic civil CAD design and production of design documents is preferred
