Overview

Plans and layouts line/grade using total stations for concrete projects.

Tasks

-Attentive to detail and accuracy, is committed to excellence, looks for improvements continuously, monitors quality levels, finds root cause of quality problems, owns/acts on quality problems. -Validates accurate dimensions by reviewing the architectural and structural drawings prior to execution. -Engages the project lead on the line and grade portion of the project to ensure proper scheduling and sequencing. -Exercises knowledge & skills in the use of the Total Station, Robotic Total Station and/or Theodolite equipment. -Sets up and maintains permanent control throughout the entire line and grade portion of the project. -Delivers layout information to the project team to ensure proper execution.

What You Bring

-Knowledge of construction principles/practices required with experience on projects over 1 million dollars. -Able to identify any discrepancies in drawings prior to execution. -Knowledge of Microsoft programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook -Exercises knowledge in the use of data surveying software. -5+ years of experience in field engineering, surveying, and layout for a large-scale Commercial, Self-Perform General Contractor or Concrete Contractor. -Must have excellent organizational and communication skills. -Knowledge & skills in the use of the Total Station, Robotic Total Station and/or Theodolite equipment. -SOME self-perform experience of concrete is required. -Able to complete a layout in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. -Proficient with the use of advanced instruments and total station to perform an accurate layout. -Knowledge in the use of data surveying software. -Understands Coordinate Geometry Geometric Theory & Geometric Functions Application to establish surveying/data/layout points.
