The Role

Overview

Remote manager leading estimating & sales for structural steel projects.

Tasks

-Attending pre-tender interviews and post-tender presentations with clients and consultants -Assisting with the preparation of cost estimates and tender submissions for structural steel projects -Developing and maintaining strong client and consultant relationships -Leading, managing, and developing the Estimating and Sales team -Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and confirm material lead times -Personally executing and converting a minimum of 3 enquiries per week, supporting the team in achieving targets -Preparing and presenting reports on project pipeline and enquiry status to senior management -Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documents to ensure accuracy and constructability

What You Bring

-Strong numerical, analytical, and commercial awareness -Experience in estimating projects ranging from 50–3,000 tonnes -Knowledge of building construction and structural steelwork -BSc/HNC in Building Studies or similar -Previous experience managing or leading a team -Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately -Confident communicator with the ability to liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams -Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project management software

Benefits

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday – Friday, flexible working) Salary: £50,000 – £70,000 per year (plus company car) -Contributory pension scheme (Employee 3%, Company 5%) -Profit-related bonus scheme -33 days’ holiday per year (including bank holidays and 13 fixed days over Christmas)
