Overview
Assist crew chief in field surveying, collect data, support CAD, ensure safety.

Tasks
-Coordinate and work with field crews and other office staff -Set wooden stakes and iron rods, cut and clear brush, trees, etc. -Adhere to the company’s Safety, Quality Management and Equipment Maintenance policies -Assisting Registered Professional Surveyors with CAD production, survey research, boundary analysis, easement preparations, legal descriptions, and computing survey points -Responsible for assisting the Crew Chief in the operation of a field survey crew -Must operate equipment, maintain safe work environment, protect and maintain the equipment and vehicles, accurately and efficiently collect field data and locate features -Record accurate and clear surveying notes

What You Bring
-High school diploma or GED required -Ability to manage multiple tasks, project coordination, maintain organizational structures, and interact with other design services -Familiar with GIS processes and terminology -Prior experience with survey field work -Ability to lift 50 pounds and walk long distances -Basic knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D for production activities -Ability to carry survey equipment and supplies in remote, rural or urban surroundings -Strong listening, writing, and verbal communication skills -Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment that is in a growth mode -Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignments -Full use of Microsoft Office -Requires a lot of walking outside year-round through all kinds of terrain and in extreme heat and cold -Currently enrolled in an associates or bachelor’s degree program in Surveying, Engineering Technology, or related area of study -Knowledge of ALTA surveys, boundary analysis, topographic surveys, preparation of easement documents, legal descriptions, final plat preparation, construction staking
