Overview
Assist maintenance department with cleaning, minor repairs, and preventive tasks

Tasks
-Contribute to team effort by training others in performance of maintenance tasks as needed -Two-person tasks using assistive devices for lifting, pulling and pushing including engine stands hand trucks, pallet jacks, and hoists -Work with Maintenance Supervisor and Manager to develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule -Inspect all work prior to passing it on to the next operation -Assist with recycling efforts -Assist in work on process controls and/or electronic controls with supervision -Communicate status of repairs and/or expected down times to Maintenance Manager and Production Managers and Supervisors as needed -Perform general cleaning and janitorial functions -Tidy up grounds -Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations -Document actions by completing production and quality forms -Push/Pull more than 40 pounds on an occasional basis with assistance -Assist in performing general maintenance on machines, conveyors and structural material of basic complexity with supervision -Assist with Non-Hazardous Waste Handling -Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results -Assist with troubleshooting repair and installation of a wide variety of basic electrical and mechanical equipment, including manual and automatic machines

What You Bring
-Has experience in general building maintenance, i.e., cleaning, painting and minor building repair preferred -Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English. -Is able to read and work from construction, mechanical and electrical drawings -Bending/stooping – frequent -Work is classified as Medium - Heavy Physical Demand Level (PDL) by the US Dept of Labor's Dictionary of Occupational Titles -Walking – continuous -Squatting/kneeling – frequent -Griping, manipulation, fingering –continuous -Carry up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis up to 25 feet -Has basic construction skills in light metal fabrication, carpentry, plumbing and electrical -Perform general layout and construction activities requiring basic metal fabrication, carpentry and plumbing skills with supervision -Lift up to 40 pounds on a frequent basis floor to waist -Has experience safely using small hand and power tools -Possesses basic computer skills -Push/Pull up to 40 pounds on a frequent basis -Variable hand/power tool use – frequent -Lift up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis floor to waist with assistance -Standing – continuous -Lifting – frequent -Frequencies - Occasional (1-33%); Frequent (34-66%); Continuous (67-100%) -Holds a High School diploma, GED or combination of work experience and skill development -Has 1-2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
