Tasks

The Cashier is responsible for efficiently processing customer payments and transactions while providing a high level of customer service. This job is responsible for handling various types of payments, issuing receipts, and maintaining accurate cash records. The Cashier serves as a key customer-facing role within the dealership, ensuring smooth financial transactions and addressing any customer inquiries or concerns with professionalism. -Ensure the security of cash, credit card information, and personal customer data always. -Count cash drawers at the start and end of each shift, ensuring all funds are accurately accounted for. -Report any suspicious activities, discrepancies, or security concerns to the Chief Cashier or supervisor. -Resolve any customer complaints promptly or escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate department for resolution. -Ensure customers are provided with an exceptional experience and always maintain a customer centric attitude. -Follow all dealership policies and procedures regarding cash handling, customer interactions, and transaction recording. -Participate in training sessions, team meetings, and workshops to stay updated on dealership policies, financial procedures, and customer service best practices. -Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend enhancements to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction. -Greet customers warmly, ensuring they feel welcome and assisted throughout their visit. -Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change to customers with accuracy. -Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly financial summaries and reports as needed by the finance team. -Assist with clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining accurate financial records. -Prepare and make daily bank deposits when required, ensuring accurate reporting of all funds handled. -Balance cash, check, and credit card transactions at the end of each shift and ensure any discrepancies are reported and resolved. -Process sales and service transactions using the dealership's management software in accordance with group procedures. -Ensure compliance with all cash handling policies, procedures, and dealership guidelines to protect the company's financial integrity. -Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, ensuring they are properly documented for auditing purposes. -Handle all customer payments, including cash, checks, credit/debit cards, and electronic transfers, ensuring accurate and timely processing. -Uphold company values throughout business practices and utilise sound judgment in decision making. -Address customer inquiries about dealership services, promotions, and financial transactions. -Support other departments within the dealership, such as sales, service, and parts, by providing financial or transactional assistance when needed.

What You Bring

Minimum required experience -High school diploma or equivalent is required. -Problem Solving -Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer skills, including familiarity with financial management software. -Attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and manage a fast-paced work -A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in cashiering or a related role is required. -Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and colleagues. -Basic math skills and the ability to handle financial transactions accurately and efficiently. -Reliability, integrity, and a strong work ethic. -Attention to Detail -Ability to handle confidential customer and financial information with discretion.
