Tasks

-Remove stripper, excess paint, and/or contaminants using water, solvents, air blower, and/or brushes. -Read engineering drawings to identify the tasks to be performed in preparation for the application of chemicals and paint to aircraft surface. -Assist other employees in the performance of their duties within area(s) of qualification. -Apply safety absorbent to hangar floor and spray aircraft surface with stripper to remove all paint. -Mask, unmask, and re-mask appropriate areas of aircraft surface to ensure complete protection of windows and other areas susceptible to damage. -Adhere to General Work Requirements -Sand, grind, and buff polished areas of aircraft surface, apply putty to body dents, and replace sealer in preparation for the application of primer and paint. -Assist with moving aircraft to appropriate bay. -Perform above tasks in support of production, flight test, and other outside areas as required. -Perform touch-up work as required. -Apply Alodine to aircraft surface using spray equipment. -Document work performed per Inspection Procedures Manual (IPM)

-Avoid only small parts paint experience -Must be flexible with shift -10+ years of experience -can be a mix of aircraft and automotive but must avoid only automotive paint experience -must have large parts to full body aircraft paint experience -No interior/cabinetry paint experience
