Overview

Support assembly, testing, and maintenance of pulsed power electronics for fusion prototype.

Tasks

-Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, and service Electronics assemblies, PCBAs, and pulsed power test systems -Help with the identification, installation, and implementation of test equipment, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems -Solder, reflow, rework and repair PCBAs to IPC standards such as IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, IPC J-STD-001, IPC-7711/7721 -Support the build, assembly, operation, and testing of PCBA and control systems required for running a fusion machine and multiple test systems -Be responsible for preventative maintenance and calibration of lab equipment -Create, organize, and maintain electronic component and consumables inventory -Help create minor subassemblies and test components focused on PCBAs, pulse power electronics, electrical systems, and fast prototypes

What You Bring

-Experience with Microsoft Suite, schematic capture, and PCB design software -Read and interpret electrical schematics and interconnects -5+ years of experience in a research, fabrication, or test lab -Experience with electronic troubleshooting and using standard benchtop tools like oscilloscopes, Eloads, FRA, Arb waveform generators, pulse generators, spectrum analyzers, DVMs -Able to lift up to 20 lbs
