The Role

Overview

Lead air quality permitting, compliance, and team management for projects in Utah and surrounding states.

Tasks

-Annual emissions reporting -Develop and implement strategy for business development with existing and new clients. -Serve internal and external Air Quality Permitting and Compliance point of contact. -Provide high standard of quality assurance/quality control through review of project deliverables. -Provide technical expertise to clients with regards to air quality permitting and compliance. -Toxic Release Inventory reporting -Management of permitting and compliance projects from initial client engagement and proposing to execution of projects. -Provide health and safety support for projects. -Mentor and manage junior staff and project level compliance professionals.

What You Bring

-Professional License is not required but preferred. Ability to obtain professional registration in Utah (e.g., PE) a plus. -Candidate must pass a medical surveillance that includes drug screening. -Staying current with relevant regulations and technology. -Minimum of 5 years of air quality consulting project management experience and proven responsibility with scope / schedule / budget. -Minimum of 5 years direct client engagement experience. -Knowledge of federal, state, and local air quality regulatory agency laws, regulations, and permitting requirements. -Experience in the oil and gas, power, and industrial markets is preferred. -Ability to work under pressure and meet timelines. -Understanding of project risk management. -Excellent written and oral communication skills. -Dispersion modeling -Good judgment and sound decision-making skills. -Experience in providing leadership to diverse project teams on high-pressure, high-visibility projects. -Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in Engineering, Environmental Science, or other related field. Advanced degree(s) preferred. -Advanced computer skills with MS Office software, including Word, Excel, and Power Point. -Preferred experience in the following: -High attention to detail. -Minimum of 10 years of related air quality experience with 5+ years of staff management experience. -Willingness to provide career and technical mentorship. -May periodically require travel and stays outside of the Salt Lake City area. -Strong customer service emphasis and solution-oriented delivery. -Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
