Tasks
The Project Accounting Specialist is critical to the care for our customers and growth of the business. This position is responsible for ensuring the financial obligations of the business are maintained and stay aligned with the requirements of our finance department. This position also provides support for the sales team to allow them to focus on pursuing sales opportunities with clients. -Provide support for inside and outside sales teams for order processing, quote/proposal generation and expediting of vendor purchases -Ensuring appropriate project set-up according to Finance guidelines -Working with the client to ensure timely collection on invoices -Track purchases and expedite when needed in order to maintain project deadlines -Receive equipment/parts orders with drop shipments into the system -Prepare invoices for parts orders processed by inside sales team -Prepare and review client invoices to ensure they are accurate & timely according to the client/project agreement -Issue POs to vendors for inventory replenishments and equipment needs on projects -Provide support for month-end close activities

Cadence supports many of the largest food/beverage manufacturing companies with facilities located southeast region of the United States by providing them with parts and equipment made by the leading sanitary process equipment manufacturers. -Self-sufficient, self-motivated, and collaborative -Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration strongly preferred; not required. -Related degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business: 0–3 years of relevant finance/accounting experience -Detail-oriented and highly organized; strong multitasking and time-management -No related degree: 2-6 years of hands-on experience in accounts receivable (AR), including invoicing and receivables management, issuing vendor POs, forecasting, and setting up projects in an EMS/ERP system -There are no travel requirements for this position. -Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
