Tasks

-Support the Principal Environmental Advisor in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the compliance Environmental Management System (EMS), compliance frameworks and audit schedules. -Lead site inspections and audits across Inland Rail projects to ensure compliance with approvals, permits and licenses. -Maintain the EMS and carry out regular audits and quality checks. -Provide technical input into environmental compliance frameworks, planning documents and management strategies. -Where requested, conduct ICAM investigations into potential incidents and non-compliances across the IR Program. -Coordinate environmental reporting at both project and program levels, including metrics, performance targets, registers and compliance tracking. -Travel to Inland Rail's sites as required.

What You Bring

About You You're a proactive and experienced environmental professional who thrives in complex, multi-stakeholder environments who enjoys being the detail of data and comfortable with routine compliance tasks that requires precision and consistency. You will be able to demonstrate -Good understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and customised software packages. -Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science or an environmentally related discipline. -Proficient personal organisation, written communication and project management skills. -Previous experience in environment compliance ideally within infrastructure, construction, or rail projects. -Ability to work autonomously.
