The Role

Overview

Inspect, move, and clean injection molded components and equipment.

Tasks

-Removes scrap and trash from manufacturing areas -Lifting of weights up to 30 pounds may occur regularly, with a potential for lifting weights of up to 45 pounds on an occasional basis. -Work is primarily performed on the manufacturing floor where noise levels may be moderate or high and hearing protection may have to be worn -Clean auxiliary equipment that supports Injection Mold process -Performs in-process inspection of injection molded components which includes visual inspection and/or dimensional measurement for conformance to requirements defined on drawings, Standard Inspection Plans, Visual Factory or other documents -Generates production, move and scrap transactions as needed to ensure inventory accuracy -Weigh count and stage transacted molded materials for put-away

What You Bring

-Ability to work effectively in a team oriented environment -Ability to read, understand, and navigate through online assembly process documents -Ability to use judgment related to identifying and segregating non-conforming materials and components -Ability to use judgement to identify potential safety hazards -Minimum three (3) months experience in a manufacturing environment as an assembler, quality control or injection mold position -High School education or GED preferred -Ability to read drawings & blueprints -Eye and foot protection may have to be worn -Ability to multi-task -May stand or sit for prolonged periods of time. -Understanding of basic math skills - adding, subtracting and measuring -Previous injection molding experience preferred -Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions both verbally and in written format -Ability to perform inventory movement transactions -This position requires 20% clerical and planning and 80% material handling, production assembly machine operations, and/or walking and assisting production employees -The occasional physical demands of the position include climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and eye/hand/foot coordination -There is potential exposure to extreme temperatures -Ability to safely prepare, operate and clean auxiliary equipment as appropriate for the successful completion of injection molding tasks
