Tasks
-Support full-cycle recruitment including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding. -Support payroll processing by providing necessary employee data updates (new hires, terminations, promotions, leaves of absence). -Partner with managers to support performance management, including goal setting, coaching, evaluations, and corrective actions. -Participate in HR projects, initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts to strengthen employee engagement and retention. -Serve as the first point of contact for employees regarding HR policies, programs, and procedures. -Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws. -Facilitate new employee onboarding, ensuring a smooth integration into the organization by coordinating orientation sessions, setting up accounts, and managing paperwork. -Manage employee relations matters, ensuring timely resolution of issues while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. -Coordinate training and development programs to support employee growth and organizational effectiveness. -Administer employee benefits programs and provide guidance to employees regarding enrollment and eligibility. -Maintain accurate HR records, employee files, and HRIS data integrity.

What You Bring
-Visual acuity and ability to read small print. -Experience supporting HR in manufacturing, construction, or related industry. Union experience a plus. -Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility. -Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with discretion. -Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. -Professional HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent). Preferred -Ability to lift and move office supplies and equipment. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with HRIS systems. -Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field (or equivalent experience). -Hearing acuity and ability to communicate effectively with others. -Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills with attention to detail. -Knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices. -Mobility and ability to move around the office as needed. -Possession of a valid driver’s license, and the ability to operate a motor vehicle. -Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for typing, filing, and using office equipment. -Two(2) to Four(4)years of experience in a Human Resources role, preferably in a generalist capacity.
