Tasks
-Sustain interpersonal relationships which encourage openness, candor and trust, both internally and externally -Meets construction budget by monitoring project expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions; providing non-project annual operating and capital budget information -Meets operational standards by contributing construction information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying construction management system improvements -Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations -Maintain company information in a confidential manner -Updates job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging construction practices and standards; participating in educational; opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations -Accomplishes construction human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning; executing; monitoring/controlling, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures -Prevents fines and interruptions by complying with, and enforcing, OSHA, MSHA and DOT codes and regulations -Manages sub-contractors by evaluating, and selecting sub-contractors; monitoring and controlling performance -Act independently and originate new procedures and new approaches to problems

What You Bring
-Professional appearance, warm demeanor and a positive attitude -OSHA 30 Certification preferred -Ability to operate heavy construction equipment is strongly preferred -Ability to operate Heavy Equipment is substantial in training and evaluating performance -Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in construction management or supervision preferred -Be subject to loud noises -Ability to work under pressure with time constraints in a changing environment -This position requires working in the internal and external environment -High School diploma or equivalent required -Experience in site grading/heavy construction including: mass excavations, embankments, hauling and placement of transported materials, utility construction, and/or landfill construction/operation preferred -Must be able to hear and see naturally or with correction -Ability to work independently, as a team, and team leader -Ability to read engineered drawings and blueprints required -Valid driver’s license required -Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds -Must be able to climb, maintain body equilibrium, reach, grasp, bend and walk/stand/sit for extended periods of time -Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) required -Minimum of 10 years’ experience working in a construction environment required -Be subject to atmospheric conditions - one or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin: fumes, odor, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation
