Tasks
-Transfer knowledge, share experiences, and support the training and mentorship of colleagues -Actively participate and drive Montrose’s strong safety culture -Ensure internal communication and collaboration to facilitate delivery of high-quality products to meet our clients’ unique project needs -Prepare and/or review technical correspondence, proposals, work plans, cost estimates, and reports -Provide technical project direction and mentorship to junior scientists and project managers on assessment, remediation and monitoring projects -Work within a well-organized, and innovative culture with support systems that empower our professionals to focus on providing high quality solutions to our clients -Communicate and liaise with clients and project related stakeholders with the ability to maintain and grow project work with clients -Apply your passion and expertise to identify, assess, protect and remediate the natural and built environments -Manage and provide technical leadership for simple to complex contaminated site projects -Grow your technical skills, innovate, and stay abreast of regulatory change by interacting with a bigger community of technical experts -Oversee and/or technically support the management of site assessment, remediation and monitoring project scopes, timelines, budgets, and communication with clients and project related stakeholders -Proactively engage and participate in development opportunities and your career growth

What You Bring
-Preference given to those who have experience managing complex salt or hydrocarbon impacted sites -A minimum of 8 years’ consulting experience in site assessment, remediation, and monitoring projects with a focus on hydrogeology -Strong data evaluation skills and ability to make decisions based on findings -Experience with borehole logging, sample collection, field screening, and sample selection -Registration in or a member in good standing of a professional organization (e.g. APEGA) -Experience writing and reviewing technical reports, work plans and cost estimates and giving presentations to multi-stakeholder groups -Willingness to provide technical direction and mentorship to junior professionals -Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), and a collaborative attitude -A valid and clean class 5 driver’s license with no restrictions -An undergraduate or graduate degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, or a related field -Knowledge and experience with the BC, Alberta and/or Saskatchewan regulatory frameworks
