Part-Time Civil Construction Inspector - RPR

Tasks

-Maintenance of daily reporting of measurements, calculations and computation of quantities as well as written narratives of work completed. -Performance of daily observation and documentation of construction activities, including those of subcontractor activities. -May handle and move items up to 50 lbs. for various needs. -Site liaison between owner and contractor. -Maintaining redline drawings for conforming to construction record drawings. -Traverse over rough terrain and constantly position self to operate miscellaneous survey equipment. -Ensuring conformance with contract documents. -Occasionally ascend/descend ladders into trenches or onto roofs when observing construction and land development sites.

What You Bring

-Adherence to company policies, including safety, public relations and employment -Excellent organization and communication skills. -Clean driving record and valid driver's license. -Prior work with municipal infrastructure (water, sewer, paving, or site development) preferred. -2+ years of experience in construction inspection, municipal utilities, or civil construction (water/wastewater, roads, or infrastructure). -May be subject to exposure to extreme outdoor weather conditions, hazardous materials and chemicals, heavy construction equipment, confined spaces, heights, and air and waterborne pathogens. -This position could require periodic travel, approximately 15% or more -Experience reviewing or interpreting construction plans, specifications, and contract documents. -High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical coursework in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field a plus.
