The Role

Overview

Design and develop mechanical components and systems, perform analysis, manage BOM/ECM, and support product lifecycle.

Tasks

-Selection of engineering materials and standard OEM parts based on the application. -To perform hand calculations and FEA analysis for the structures, frames, modules, and components as needed. -Worked on projects from input requirement to final product release (input gathering, concept design, detailed design, prototyping, testing and issue resolution). -Preparation of technical documents such as manuals, instructions, reports, operation, and maintenance sheets, etc. -Performing BOM management, configuration management and Engineering change management during the product life cycle. -Working with complex sub-systems and components for new product development, upgradation, and modification of modules. -Design, develop and modify mechanical engineering layouts, schematics, detailed drawings, specifications of difficult scope. -Perform engineering analysis (FEA and calculations) of difficult scope with limited supervision. -Engineering problem identification and troubleshooting a variety of mechanical problems with limited supervision. -Selection of standard OEM components such as bearings, O-rings, gearbox, motors, pneumatic & electrical actuators, gas springs, etc. -Design and detailing of components using metals, plastics, and ceramics as per relevant industry standards.

What You Bring

-Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Mechanical Design and development. -Experience working closely with suppliers, stakeholders, and customers. -Should have hands on experience in CAD tools (CREO, SOLIDEDGE, CATIA) -Design expertise in machined, sheet metal, weldments, and plastic parts. -Experience working with 3D CAD, 2D drawings of complex assemblies and engineering documentation of products complying with industrial standards. -Good knowledge of manufacturing processes, change management processes and PLM tools. -Good knowledge in design of Jigs and Fixtures -Good knowledge of GD&T and Tolerance stake-up. -Effective collaboration with internal team, stakeholders, and customers during various phases of the project execution. -Experience working in Semiconductor equipment industry.
