Senior Project Manager

Overview

Manage construction of utility‑scale renewable energy projects in New Zealand.

Tasks

-Delivery of best practice PM systems and controls. -Ensure all projects comply with the requirements of the applicable permits and contracts. -Ensure all projects are built safely and in accordance with LSBP and HSE requirements of the relevant country, including Worksafe NZ -Manage all construction aspects of Renewable Energy projects from early works through to commissioning and completion. -Managing project handover from construction to operations ensuring early involvement -Develop and foster strong working relationships with the New Zealand and Australian teams and at global level to support business development. -Securing strong interaction between both business development and assets management departments. -Provide input into LSbp T&C team to select the optimum EPC and Network Service Provider (NSP) contractors from RFP to contractual negotiations and final selection. -Construction reporting to internal and external stakeholders. -Prepare budget and time schedule of the project and ensure the project is built in accordance with the same.

What You Bring

-Previous experience in the Renewable Energy sector & project management is essential. -Highly process and detail oriented. -Ability to work in team environment. -Ideally an engineering degree or related discipline as background. -Experience working for projects built by EPC Contractors who have built Renewable Energy projects across the globe will be preferred. -Ability to lead and inspire teams. -Ability to communicate and report clearly and effectively with good presentation skills. -Strong contract management skills. -Strong relationship with EPC’s and related contractors. -Good IT skills and good programming skills. -It is desirable to have 10 years of prior experience of the renewable energy & construction industry, ideally from either an EPC, NSP or similar company to Lightsource bp -Knowledge and understanding of the constraints affecting the renewable energy industry in New Zealand and as applicable from any Australian learnings. -Experience of managing construction of utility scale Renewable Energy projects, i.e., larger than 50MW. -Strong relationship with NSP’s on different levels, design, and construction. -Successful track record in project delivery and managing various stakeholders. -Construction related formal qualifications in project management -Full driving license. -Proven management skills
