Tasks

-Assist with developing entire job schedules, 90-day schedules, and three-week schedules. Monitor job schedule and coordinate work with contractors and deliveries with suppliers and ensure inspections are scheduled appropriately -Assist in preparing work plans and scheduling in determining manpower levels, material quantities, and equipment requirements. -Monitor and adhere to established budgetary guidelines for job and ensure that cost control measures are being followed. -Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Monitor quality standards and ensure that technical specifications are being met. -Develop and maintain open communication with crews, field engineers/coordinators, Maintenance, Safety, and Quality. -Advise peers and/or project management of potential problems, work interferences, schedule difficulties, etc. Assist in resolving such problems as required. -Assist in the hiring, training, and development of craft personnel (Haul Truck Drivers, Drillers, Dozer Operators, Shovel/Excavator, Blade, Scraper, etc.) -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Responsible for direct supervision of an assigned crew of equipment operators. -Establishes daily job assignments, authorizes time off requests, completes performance assessments, initiates disciplinary action and performance improvements. -Examine/inspect field conditions and troubleshoot problems, correct inaccuracies, and implement cost saving measures. -Monitor job safety and provide job safety training and awareness for all personnel.

-Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals and objectives -Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to safely get the job done right the first time -Regular, reliable attendance -Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity -Familiar with MSHA operations -Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint -Willingness and ability to relocate to job sites. -Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills -Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment -The ability to work shift work including nights and weekends -Work productively and meet deadlines timely -A minimum of 3 years relevant experience as a Front Line Supervisor (Shift Superintendent, General Foreman, etc.) in either Coal or Metal/Non-Metal mines or heavy civil construction experience -Ability to travel on short notice -Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail
