Tasks
Reporting to the Director of Project Management, the Project Manager will be responsible to oversee and coordinate all aspects of our mass timber projects. The Project Manager role is based out of our Spokane, Washington facility. -Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining scope, schedule, budget, and resource requirements. -Anticipate potential delays and develop strategies to mitigate risks to the project timeline. Avoid or mitigate claims and conflict. -Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate cost estimates and monitoring expenses throughout the project execution phase. -Ensure all parties adhere to contract terms and conditions. -Coordinate and collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure project goals are met. -Conduct regular project meetings to review progress, address issues, and update stakeholders to keep the project on schedule. -Learn and understand manufacturing processes and practical applications of Mercer Mass Timber products, CLT and Glulam beams/columns, including design properties, product mix, and accessory materials. -Establish and enforce quality standards, ensuring construction work meets industry regulations and client expectations. -Implement cost control measures and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality. -Collaborate with the sales team to identify and evaluate new mass timber projects with respect to scope, cost and delivery. -Create and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones and overall project delivery. -Manage expectations and promptly address any changes in project scope or requirements. -Stay up to date with industry trends, pricing, and regulations related to mass timber construction. -Conduct effective change management, record keeping, including development of RFI’s, change orders and stakeholder requests. -Conduct regular inspections to identify and address quality issues promptly. -Negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and other project partners.

What You Bring
-Comprehensive understanding of project management control systems. Knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and addenda process. -Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. -3-5 years’ experience as a Project Manager, preferably in the mass timber or construction industry. -Knowledge of mass timber materials, construction methods, and related technologies is considered an asset. -Leadership and problem solving skills with a strong sense of urgency. -Completed post-secondary education in Wood Processing, Construction, Engineering, or related discipline. -Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. -Experience in the North American construction market with knowledge of design, manufacturing, and construction principles (DfMA) is considered an asset.

Benefits
Please note that relocation assistance will not be available. -401(k) retirement savings plan. -The salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience. -Complete project with full or enhanced fee. -Our group benefits package, which has no waiting period, includes extended health and dental benefits.
