Tasks

-Champion resilience, safety and innovation in the built environment -assisting team leaders on specific projects -providing specialist structural engineering design and design review services, construction monitoring and asset condition assessments to support the Council-wide asset owners’ group -diligently managing escalated customer complaints and incidents with a focus on swift resolution and adherence to professional standards -Deliver structural engineering expertise that shapes Auckland’s future -providing invaluable technical support and mentoring to colleagues

What You Bring

-expertise in evaluating complex building consent applications and providing high-quality structural engineering advice -a strong background in design, peer review, seismic assessments and construction monitoring across residential, commercial and industrial projects -a deep understanding of New Zealand’s building legislation, including the Building Act, Building Code, Health and Safety at Work Act (2015), and relevant engineering standards and codes of practice -excellent communication skills, a collaborative mindset and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service -proficiency in relevant structural engineering software packages
