The Role

Overview

Drive Class A truck transporting materials locally in DMV area with safety focus.

Tasks

-Secure and unload materials as needed. -Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition and report any vehicle defects or safety issues promptly to the management team. -Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and site personnel. -Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients and vendors. -Maintain a valid DOT medical card throughout employment. -Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations and company safety policies. -Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle, including 47’ and/or 55’ trailers, to transport materials to and from job sites in the DMV area. -Ensure all required DOT documentation is completed, including delivery logs, receipts, and vehicle maintenance records. -Maintain a clean driving record and comply with all DOT regulations and company safety policies.

What You Bring

-Ability to meet FMCSA drug and alcohol testing requirements, including pre-employment, random, and post-accident testing. -Strong focus on safety and reliability. -Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policies. -Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly. -Must currently hold or be able to obtain a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card. -Ability to safely and frequently enter and exit the vehicle. -Strong work ethic. -Ability to maintain focus and stay alert while driving for extended periods. -Ability to drive a manual transmission. -Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record (DMV/MVR record with no major violations or accidents within the last 3 years). -Ability to work in all weather conditions and perform vehicle maintenance tasks, as needed. -Must be at least 21 years old due to interstate driving requirements. -Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently. -One plus years of commercial driving experience required. -Ability to see and hear clearly to ensure safe driving. -Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and operate the vehicle safely.
