-Work within AutoCAD to successfully complete projects within established budgets and deadlines. -Apply broad knowledge of principles and practices in Mechanical Engineering. -Provide direction on assigned tasks to engineers, technicians, and administrative staff. -Independently evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making minor adoptions and modifications to create schematic. -Establish project design concepts, design criteria and scope, space requirements, etc. -Plan and coordinate detailed aspects of engineering work. -Make engineering computations with accuracy of design, specifications, and drawings, etc. -Attend meetings and present specific components of assignments. -Consults with team concerning unusual problems and development. -Analyze and interpret data, formulate, and solve problems. -Prepare project plans and specifications. -Perform field investigations/ site visits as needed. -Assist with proposal development for professional services.
-Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. -Demonstrate advanced investigative, analytical, and research skills. -Required to be technical in the mechanical engineering field. -Ability to prioritize tasks and overall workload. -Valid driver’s license preferred. -Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions. -Working knowledge of Industry Standard (ISA) P & ID development and evaluation. -Advanced skills in Revit and proficient in CAD. -Demonstrate advanced technical and nontechnical writing, editing and proofreading skills. -Strong verbal and written communication skills. -Ability to assist in the education and development of design staff and act as a resource for design questions. -4-6+ years in mechanical engineering design experience is required. -Prior experience creating/designing internal piping processes and/or working on commercial and/or industrial structures is a plus. -Ability to use advanced techniques and modification and extension of theories, precepts, and practices in developing designs. -Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required. -Ability to perform QA/QC on drawings from drafters, designers, and/or design engineers on projects.
