Tasks

Point-of-Contact for the customer. Interact with all FMG departments and client throughout project. Senior Project Managers provide technical design and project management services in support of the sales efforts of the company. Persons in this role plan, direct and coordinate activities of the designated project to ensure goals and/or objectives of the project are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Responsible to know/understand customer requirements through direct contact and meet or exceed their expectations. Manage multiple projects through completion with salesperson or account manager. Conduct or attend initial internal/external project team meeting to establish points of contact, roles and responsibilities. Participation in the Design “Pre-Order” meeting. Maintain project folders for each project for reference and documentation upon completion of project. Direct and coordinate activities of installation personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget. Compare acknowledgment to order and space plan. Verify through various internal systems acknowledged ship dates. Establishing work plan for each phase of project, ship dates and arranging for installation personnel. -Initiate changes as necessary. -Participate in proposal presentations to the client; represent Project Management as a member of the FMG Team. -Conduct final punch list walk through with client. -Identify and document any changes to the established scope of work, advise client, provide cost estimates and associated documentation. -Conduct internal pre-installation job site visit with Design and Lead Installer. -Reviewing project proposals to determine time frame, budget limitations, procedures for accomplishing project and allotment of available resources to various phases of project. -Verify all project costing documentation. -Conduct preliminary punch list walk through with lead installer, oversee resolution of all punch issues. -Conduct or attend external project meetings with trades and other team members. -Confer with salesperson to outline workplan, duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority. -Conduct pre- and post-installation project team meetings.

What You Bring

Senior designation based on 10 years+ experience. Must maintain current driver’s license and vehicle insurance. Will be required to be in warehouse and construction sites at times. Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from a four-year college or university; or two plus years of related experience in the management of projects through contract furniture project coordination/management, account management, facilities planning/coordination or related area. Requires a personal vehicle for transportation to client sites. -Problem solving and resourcefulness skills. -Ability to organize and conduct various sizes and types of project meetings. -Organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -Demonstrated ability to read design space plans and furniture specifications. -Ability to work as a team member and autonomously as required. -Ability to successfully manage stressful situation and adhere to deadlines. -Demonstrated sense of project ownership and customer satisfaction. -Detailed technical knowledge of at least one major systems furniture product line. -Interpersonal skills that interact well with internal/external customers.
