The Role

Overview

Coordinate quality & environmental management, document control, subcontractor approvals and audits.

Tasks

-Monitor processes to identify areas for improvement -Maintain both physical and digital archives of project documents -Monitor site activities to ensure adherence to environmental regulations and best practices. -Conduct periodic audits of document control systems to ensure effectiveness -Ensure subcontractors meet quality standards and contractual obligations through regular evaluations -Follow up on audit findings to resolve issues and implement improvements promptly. -Facilitate subcontractor approvals in collaboration with project managers and engineers -Manage the Co-ordination of the Environmental Management System (EMS), ensuring compliance with ISO 14001 standards. -Monitor and report on environmental related activities, processes and procedures -Manage, monitor and report on quality related activities, processes and procedures -Participation in ESG activities such as sustainability initiatives, biodiversity committee, STEPS to Engineering, Women in Engineering initiative -Manage internal and external audits within the business -Develop environmental KPIs and implement initiatives to reduce the firm’s environmental impact. -Perform regular quality and environmental audits across offices and projects to assess compliance with ISO standards. -Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies -Review and manage subcontractor submissions for compliance -Manage the Co-ordination of the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards. -Manage and maintain all quality-related documentation ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies -Manage audits by external parties, including certification bodies or clients for our Integrated Management System (IMS)

What You Bring

-Proficiency in Software systems with the ability to research and learn new systems when required. -A relevant qualification or commensurate industry experience with an alternative qualification. -Excellent interpersonal, organisational and analytical skills -The ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team. -Fluent written and spoken English is essential. -Excellent computer skills. -Budgeting experience would be advantageous. -Experience in similar role. -A working knowledge of the international standard ISO9001 Quality Management & ISO14001 Environmental Management
