Tasks
-Sets direction and goals for technology and/or business line. -Technical point of contact for strategic clients and member of AECOM senior leadership team. -Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for AECOM’s Gulf Surface Transportation Division and the West Region Structures Team Provides guiding direction and ultimate oversight of engineering engagements. -Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation and modification of standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria. -Leads the technology strategy for individual's area of expertise. -As necessary, modifies established guidelines, devises new approaches, applies existing criteria in new ways and draws conclusions from comparative situations. -Fully versed with and can check and review the work sequence, general content, and the methods used to generate specifications for the purchase of material, equipment, systems, services, or construction within a specific discipline. -May provide technical guidance to a modest sized group of engineers, designers, and specialists.

What You Bring
-Experience in the plan production of transportation structures such as bridges, culverts, sign structures and retaining walls. -Seismic and inelastic analysis and design experience is preferred. -Ability to do occasional field work (site visits and inspections) and travel. -Requires sufficient professional experience to assure competence as a fully trained worker. -Experience leading a staff of engineers and CAD personnel. -20+ years of bridge design and plan development experience -Knowledgeable of standard engineering practices, techniques, and applicable codes -Structural problem analysis skills (including knowledge/use of design and calculation tools, software) -Proficiency in software such as MicroStation, LEAP Concrete/Bridge, PTC MathCAD, CSiBridge and/or MIDAS Civil. -Fully versed in the project change control process and can identify a potential change. -Excellent verbal communication and writing skills, including technical report writing. -Project experience with TxDOT major bridge project design work and deliverables along with related to Texas state and/or local bridge design project work. -Serves as technical expert in their domain, recognized as the 'go-to' expert internally and externally -BA/BS + EXTENSIVE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education -Master of Science or Ph.D. in Civil/Structural Engineering degree.

-Sponsorship not offered for this opportunity. -Offered rate of compensation in Houston, TX will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $160,000. - $210,000.
