Floor Technician Full-Time

Overview

Clean and maintain all floor surfaces and carpets throughout the senior living community.

Tasks

-Assist in training new Floor Tech personnel. -Picks up and removes major trash from the Community. -Maintains all equipment and supplies in proper condition. -Clean and wash entrances, doors, windows, elevators, stair wells, hand rails, and walls. -Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned. -Must maintain resident confidentiality at all times. -Maintains floors and carpets within the Community.

What You Bring

-Must have an understanding of general cleaning practices. -Have the ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively. -Previous floor maintenance experience preferred but not required. -High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. -Six months to one-year experience housekeeping and/or cleaning. -Must be able to complete required duties within time allowed. -Three to six months experience in housekeeping or janitorial position preferred. -Vacuum, sweep, mop, buff, shampoo, and wax all floor surfaces in the common areas. -Must have effective communication skills, both oral and written. -Shampoo carpets and furniture in resident apartments and offices. -Have at least a 9 th grade education.
