Overview

Collect/process clinical specimens, operate and maintain lab equipment, perform tests, ensure quality, and report results.

Tasks

-Educate others on equipment safety, operating procedures, and laboratory best practices. -Perform laboratory tests, analyze results, and produce diagnostic reports. -Collect and process clinical specimens (e.g., blood) as per test requests. -Apply quality control techniques to ensure accuracy and reliability of equipment and test results. -Follow all relevant policies, regulations, and ethical standards, including HIPAA. -Utilize LRR technologies (e.g., EDI) and troubleshoot data exchange issues like confidentiality. -Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment; identify and report defects. -Manage secure access to laboratory results and support interoperability between health records and lab systems. -Address issues affecting analytical results and ensure compliance with LPQA processes.

What You Bring

-Must meet CLIA requirements for high complexity testing. -Proficiency in laboratory techniques such as pipetting, microscopy, and bacteria culture -Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or other life sciences.
