The Role

Overview

Implement and oversee health, safety, environment, and quality programs at Vopak terminals.

Tasks

-Participates and implements the terminals safety and health policies and procedures by ensuring that all processes and modifications to existing processes have been critically reviewed for process safety, risk management, environmental, and general safety and health considerations in accordance with regulatory requirements (OSHA, PSM, and EPA RMP) and Company’s Process Safety Standards. -Owns and leads the contractor safety management program. -Leads and directs the development, training, implementation, and monitoring of Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) policies, procedures, and programs; develops, implements, and complies with Company global SHEQ standards, practices, and applicable codes; maintains the continued quality of Company process systems; supports development, implementation, and measurement of SHEQ procedures, practices, projects, and recordkeeping. -Provides technical review of Management of Change (MOC) documents as needed. -Facilitates the Safety Committees and sub-committees including monthly and weekly Committee communication initiatives. -Support the sites for execution, maintenance, and updates of the Emergency Response Plan. -Conducts daily safety observations throughout the terminal. -Facility Emergency Response Team member. Responds to emergencies as required (i.e., CIMA). -Manage the PPE program for the facility. -Prepares and delivers presentations at SHEQ meetings; supports others by preparing reports/presentations pertaining to process safety, quality and risk management.

What You Bring

-Operations/Safety experience at a bulk liquids multimodal storage and transfer facility preferred -Knowledge of current health and safety regulations – OSHA, DOT, Coast Guard -Experience working at a PSM and/or RCMS-certified facility preferred -Must possess or be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) as required by the Maritime Transportation Security Act. -College degree in occupational health and safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field preferred, but not required. -CSP, CFPS Certification(s) a plus. -NIMS 100, 200, 300 a plus. -At least 5 - 7 years of plant or terminal experience required -NFPA 1081 Industrial Fire Brigade Exterior and Interior Certifications a plus.
