The Role
Overview
Oversee financial close, GL, AP/AR, reporting, budgeting and compliance.

Tasks
-Lead AP department performance and engagement -Manage SGA consolidate vendor programs to ensure compliance and best total cost -Provide management with timely review of organization's financial status and progress. -Prepare and present financial related reports including but not limited to balance sheet, income statement, cash-flow reports, budgets, and variance analysis. -Review, evaluate and implement accounting systems, policies, and procedures. -Lead AR/Cash posting department department and engagement -Lead accounting close procedures to attain on timely and high quality work product -Provide management and controller over balance sheet accounts -Direct budget preparation, review budget proposals, and prepare necessary supporting documentation and justification for proposed budgets. -Support annual internal and external audits. -Provide management and oversight of general ledger and all journal entries -Gain an understanding of all state regulatory filing requirements and impact on the financial statements.

What You Bring
-Strong analytical skills. -Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations. -4 – 6 years -The ability to establish processes and procedures to ensure effective department workflow. -Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks and meet deadlines. -Thorough knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP), Sarbanes-Oxley 404, and compliance requirements of other financial statutes. -Ability to complete projects and assignments with minimal direction from leadership. -Strong organizational skills and ability to work in high-volume, fast-paced environment. -The ability to professionally interact with and influence the region, area and division leadership team as well as staff and customers to effectively accomplish goals in compliance with company policies and procedures. -Ability to work effectively, cooperatively and efficiently within a team environment. -Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, or related field. -Have MS Excel skills at an intermediate level. -Must be able to effectively coach, mentor and train others to meet performance expectations as described above. -Must be able to manage others to accomplish goals and objectives. -An understanding of business unit operational functions and related needs and requirements and the ability identify issues, weigh options and provide effective counsel to support sound business decisions. -Knowledge of State and local statutory requirements that govern financial reporting and accounting. -The ability to track, measure and manage performance is required. -Must be able to demonstrate initiative to thoughtfully and fully research and follow up on nonstandard situations to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
