The Role

Overview

Design municipal infrastructure and land development projects using Civil 3D.

Tasks

-Prepare site grading plans, underground sewer and watermain layouts, as well as erosion & sediment management plans. Support construction teams with earthworks volume analysis, and material balance modeling. Assist stormwater teams with overland, and minor-system models and drawings. -Coordinate with other discipline engineers and technologists as part of a multidisciplinary team -Work closely with project engineers and senior technical staff in carrying out and reporting on technical tasks requiring data collection, accuracy in calculations, completeness of data and adherence to prescribed standards and methods -Comply with and contribute to a standardized and organized file management structure. that -Develop 3D models and contribute to digital assets for a variety of infrastructure projects. -Ensure drafting standards meet current design and Client standards, guidelines and other requirements. -Create and modify CAD drawings using Autodesk Civil 3D software. -Communicate professionally with clients to create, update and issue construction documents for local developments -Adhere to quality control workflows and processes to ensure consistent quality deliverables

What You Bring

-Familiarity with Autodesk Docs, ReCap, Infraworks, Bently products, or GIS software would be an asset. -Civil Engineering Technology diploma or equivalent combination of education and industry experience -Proficient in the use of Civil 3D and Bluebeam Software. -Strong verbal and written communication skills along with excellent interpersonal abilities -Strong organizational skills to plan, organize and implement work within a specified budget while meeting the project deadlines -Preference is for 2+ years experience in civil design
