Tasks
As a key member of our maintenance team the Mechanical Maintenance Technician will play a vital role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of mechanical systems within the facility. -Execute preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to uphold equipment reliability and compliance with regulatory requirements. -Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support equipment upgrades, installations, and modifications. -Conduct inspections, troubleshoot issues, and diagnose mechanical problems to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation of equipment. -Document maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and maintenance reports, to maintain accurate records and track equipment performance. -Participate in safety programs and adhere to established safety protocols to promote a safe working environment for oneself and colleagues. -Perform routine maintenance tasks on mechanical equipment, including but not limited to pumps, compressors, boilers, HVAC systems, and utilities. -Provide technical support and guidance to junior maintenance staff as needed.

What You Bring
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team in Limerick. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems critical to the production process. -Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical issues and performing repairs using hand and power tools. -Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including pumps, motors, valves, and piping systems, as well as their operation and maintenance requirements. -Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to facilitate equipment maintenance and repairs. -Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with colleagues at all levels of the organization. -Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a mechanical maintenance technician in a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry. -Time served in an engineering technical degree or diploma, or Solas advanced craft certification to level 6, or equivalent. -Computer Literacy. -Flexibility to work occasional weekends, holidays, or off-hours as needed to support maintenance activities and respond to emergencies. Initially, role is a day’s role approx. 39 hrs per week but there may be a requirement to transition into a shift role at a later stage. -Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining accurate documentation. -Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices and techniques to ensure equipment reliability and compliance with regulatory standards. -Willingness to undergo additional training and certification as necessary.
