Maintenance Mechanic

Overview

Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on facility equipment.

Tasks

-Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical issues and pneumatic valves. -Perform general preventative maintenance and repairs on facility machinery and equipment (e.g., conveyors, forklifts, loaders). -Complete daily maintenance logs and manage preventive maintenance programs. -Maintain spare parts inventory and order parts as needed. -Provide on-the-job training to new employees and serve as backup for other technicians. -Weld, fabricate, and patch steel components as needed. -Communicate equipment issues across shifts and support team efforts. -Rig and install motors, conveyor pulleys, and other heavy machinery. -Maintain and back up sorting computer software and parameters.

What You Bring

-Ability to manage time and prioritize effectively -Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics preferred -Glass processing knowledge is a plus -Able to work safely and efficiently -Analytical problem solving and troubleshooting skills -High School Diploma/GED preferred -1-3 years of maintenance experience preferred -Team player, able to lead and contribute to a team effort -Excellent communication and people skills
