Overview
Design and layout of electrical/instrumentation systems for water/wastewater projects.

Tasks
-Prepare quantities for cost estimating. -Responsible for completing design tasks within budget and on schedule. -This position is responsible for the design and layout of engineering drawings. -Produce drawings or sketches as required. -Communicates with Project Managers, Sr. Engineers and design team to complete work efficiently. -Provides technical and design services in support of water/wastewater design projects as part of a multi-discipline project team to produce design/construction drawings. -On occasion, fieldwork may be required. Those duties would include observation of sitework.

What You Bring
-Extensive experience with electrical and/or controls design for water & wastewater treatment plants and remote stations using Revit and/or AutoCAD. -Requires excellent communication, and the ability to take and understand directives from Project Engineers and Project Managers. -Requires successful completion of college level CAD courses. -Extensive experience with instrumentation, bills of material, cable and fiber optic routing/connections, PLC hardware and networking hardware -Candidates are required to pass a pre-employment drug screening. -Multiple office locations to work from: Stick close to home or travel for a change of scenery -10 years of related engineering design experience required. -Extensive experience with developing P&ID’s, control panel layouts, I/O drawings, network architectures, single lines, riser diagrams, interconnect drawings, lighting and grounding drawings and schematics. -Requires process-oriented thinking with strong organizational and technical skills. -The ability to complete work consistently, with moderate flexibility to accommodate varying demands from Project Managers is required. -The ability to work alone but also effectively as part of a team is required. -Candidates are required to have a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record as determined by McKim & Creed. -The ability to balance multiple work assignments on multiple projects at the same time is required. -10 years’ experience working with AutoCAD and/or Autodesk Revit design required. -Accomplished knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required. -Associate degree in CAD or equivalent preferred but not required.
