Tasks

The Commercial Construction Estimator will be responsible for analyzing project plans and specifications, preparing accurate cost estimates, and collaborating with project managers and clients to ensure timely and profitable construction projects. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of commercial construction methods, local building codes, and market conditions in Southern California. -Attend job walks and pre-bid meetings as needed -Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates -Coordinate with project managers and preconstruction teams to develop budgets and proposals -Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing -Develop detailed quantity takeoffs and pricing for all CSI divisions -Maintain up-to-date knowledge of materials, labor rates, and market trends -Identify and mitigate potential cost risks -Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and vendors

What You Bring

They're seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Commercial Construction Estimator to join the team and play a key role in the planning and success of our projects. -Local knowledge of Southern California construction markets and codes is a strong plus -Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required) -4+ years of experience as a construction estimator, preferably in commercial construction -Proficiency with estimating software (such as Bluebeam, Procore, ProEst, PlanSwift, or similar tools) -Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, cost control, and scheduling -Excellent written and verbal communication skills -Highly organized with strong attention to detail -Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
