Tasks

-Engage with the design-build team. Work with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, architects, and planners, to develop cohesive and integrated design solutions. -Build a strong culture among the consultant (DBPM) design team, including with ‘design lead’ direct reports for various disciplines, with emphasis on collaboration, trust, and accountability. -Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and coste.ective delivery. -Coordinate with internal stakeholders and AHJs. -Work with the design team of the progressive design-builder, providing direction and support throughout the project lifecycle. -Provide support for the preparation of design documents, specifications, and reports. Be responsible for the technical requirements and specifications on behalf of the client. -Be present at the project office full time throughout the design phase. -Review progressive design-builder’s design for compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations. -Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to resolve design issues. -Support the design-build team to develop and implement design strategies that align with project goals and client expectations. -Foster strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and contractors. -Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the design team.

What You Bring

-Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred. -Experience with Progressive Design-Build or similar collaborative delivery method (CM/GC / CMAR, Alliance) and ability to embrace this work environment. -DBIA certified is desirable. -Strong leadership and team management skills. -Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale design projects. -Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. -Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations and standards is preferred. -Professional Engineer (PE) license or architecture license (AIA/RA) is preferred. -Minimum of 15 years of experience in design management, 5 of these in facilities/buildings, preferably in transit or infrastructure projects.
