Tasks

-Ensure all Contractor’s design work is safe and carried out in a safe manner -Ensure all Contractor’s design work conforms to the codes and standards used by the Client or to agreed industry standards -Enter instrument database content per P&IDs -Candidate should contribute to creating a workplace where everyone feels compelled to intervene whenever they observe an unsafe act or condition to ensure that everyone goes home safe and well and the environment is preserved in the successful operation of our business. -Monitoring and reporting the professional man hours and assessing the progress and quality of civil/structural work -Calculations for: control valves, PSVs, flow meters and thermo wells -Preparation and review of discipline deliverables including drawings, specifications, and datasheets -Review vendor documents and quotations for compliance with project requirements -Review and contribute to all drafting work for projects using AutoCAD…etc. -Assist the team leader and be a team player, collaborate, and add value to the assigned project -As required, participate in site surveys, review Contractor’s site survey reports, and ensure it is as per actual site conditions -Perform Contractors and/or Vendors Technical Bid Evaluations, as required. -Assist with cost and manpower estimates -Control system specification and system architectures -Assist and contribute to the project to meet its safety targets and advise safety improvements -Keep up to date with the latest developments and technical innovations in Instrumentation & Controls Engineering -Coordinate with the project team and clients to develop/finalise design specifications to meet their project needs with the ability to interpret Client specifications -Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and advise Client, and ask for assistance when required -If required, perform designing/engineering work/deliverables as part of the team -If required, assist, and support and help in developing junior personnel within the team -Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system -Review Contractor’s deliverables as required and ensure all Contractor’s engineering and design work performed meets contractual obligations, quality, cost, and schedule requirements -Candidate should maintain the HSSEQ management system, and the tools required to implement it -If required, provide support during fabrication, site construction, and commissioning activities -Coordinate/Communicate with other disciplines, Contractor, and Client -Assist and support project leads, managers, and directors to manage all aspects of projects from design to implementation and handover

What You Bring

-Adequate capability in design, development, self-checking and solving engineering problems -Project Automation Deliverables -Working knowledge and ability to produce Instrumentation & Control deliverables such as Index & IO List, Datasheets, Specifications, Requisitions, Installation and Hookup Drawings, P&IDs, Loop Drawings, Wiring Diagrams, Cable Schedules, Instrument Location Layouts, System Block Diagram, etc. -Excellent oral and written communication and skills -Capability of collating, verifying and handling information and producing/following instructions -B. Tech/B.E. OR Master degree - Instrumentation -Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies and divergences from original proposal / contract by raising technical queries with projects / client -Capability of planning, implementing and controlling work in own field -Cultural sensitivity and ability to work in a global, multicultural environment -At least 6 years of basic and detail engineering experience in Upstream Oil & Gas, Refinery, & Petrochemical industry -Instrucalc, flowel or any other instrument sizing software -Capabilities in estimating and forecasting -Working knowledge and ability to produce Instrumentation Calculation/Selection, such as Control Valves, Flowmeters, Thermowells, Cables -Smart plant Instrumentation -Adequate capability in using engineering knowledge and understanding to apply technical and practical skills -Working knowledge of software’s like Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI), AVEVA and AutoCAD -Being able to work with multiple and concurrently small and medium projects -Capability of analysing, integrating and interpreting results -Working knowledge (design/implementation) of Communication Networks is a plus -Cultural sensitivity and ability to work in a global, multicultural environment. -Be able to work with the following under supervision -Capability of reviewing, controlling in own field and level -Adequate knowledge and understanding of technical requirements in own field and level -Business Acumen, Client Focus -Communication and interpersonal skills to hold presentation and keep audience interested -Capable of demonstrating ownership of responsibility for work produced -Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite -Working knowledge and ability to produce deliverables for Control Systems like PLCs, DCS, ESD, F&G, MMS, and prepare engineering documents like IO List, Logic Diagrams, Loop Drawings, C&E diagrams, Narratives. -International Codes & Standards, Best Engineering Practices and project specific standards that apply to Automation
