Business Development Specialist

Description

We are seeking to add another Business Development Specialist to our BD Team providing support to an international sales team in researching, identifying and qualifying opportunities. On occasion you will interface with clients in person in our Experience Centers or at Partner / Customer Events.

• Lead generation from government and industry end users, architects, engineers, and systems integrators.
• Works in and maintains the company CRM (Hubspot) in order to track client and prospective client information.
• Fosters beneficial relationships with business partners, potential clients, and business contacts in order to attract new business
• Participate in market research programs.
• Interacts with sales team and project management team to communicate client project details.
• Lead qualification from inbound and outbound channels
• Daily communication and collaboration with the Marketing team to refine messaging, campaigns or activities communicating customer feedback

Requirements

Based in the Calgary office and some local and national travel is required

• Will need to become familiar with technology in use by partners in our showroom to support client visits and demos
• Demonstrates strong organizational skills, the ability to meet deadlines, and the ability to solve problems
• 1-2 years’ experience in market research, business development or customer service
• Strong proficiency on computers
• Familiar with project research databases and other tools
• Strong analytical skills
• Will need to become familiar with technology used by clients in their command centers.
• Ability to communicate complex, technical product, and service solutions
• Occasional attendance at trade shows and other similar events.
• Experienced in the lead qualification process
