Overview

Assist in traffic engineering design, analysis, and project support for Texas projects.

Tasks

-Contributes to the preparation or modification of reports, plans and designs for projects -Perform quantity estimates, detailing and check calculations and drawings -Organize scheduling of specific tasks and assignments -Assists in the preparation of project quantity and cost estimates -Perform design calculations and conduct investigative analyses toward completion of assigned design tasks, and direct preparation of design specifications -Participate in the collection and analysis of data and preparation of satisfactory designs

Please note that federal regulations may differ from state-specific guidelines -Valid driver’s license -Previous internship/co-op experience in transportation and municipal design desired -EIT certification is required -Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering -Previous experience with TxDOT preferred -2-4 years of experience -A satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR) -Experience with OpenRoads Designer is highly preferred
