Senior Engineer leads engineering delivery, quality, surveys, temp works, lifting ops.

Tasks

-Manage survey equipment and ensure as-built surveys are carried out to the required standard -Review and develop method statements and risk assessments -Provide engineering leadership across the project and act as the main technical reference point for the team -Lead and support technical, temporary works and lifting audits ensuring close out of actions -Support the design manager in design approvals, benchmarks and samples -Undertake the role of Temporary Works Coordinator when appointed, ensuring compliance with procedures -Provide accurate and timely information to the planner to update project programmes -Mentor and develop less experienced engineers -Stop works where there is a risk to health and safety -Review and create Inspection and Test Plans for packages such as concrete, drainage, steelwork and brickwork -Supervise site and graduate engineers, ensuring best practice in setting out and dimensional control -Draft, monitor and update short term programmes -Deliver health, safety and environmental briefings including inductions, toolbox talks and crane team briefings -Manage the Sisk Non-Conformance process including issuing, monitoring and closing out NCRs -Work collaboratively with Sisk colleagues and subcontractors to resolve issues and deliver quality outcomes -Undertake the role of Lifting Operations Appointed Person when appointed -Ensure compliance with project specifications including tolerances for vertical and horizontal structural elements

What You Bring

-Scaffold awareness and inspection training -Temporary Works Coordinator training -Lifting Operations Appointed Person A61 CPCS course -Underground services location training -Experience in temporary works procedures and the role of TWC -MSIC or SMSTS certification -Planning and programming software training -Experience in lifting operations and ability to undertake the role of Appointed Person with support -Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD -Exposure to a range of technical trades including piling, geotechnical, substructures, superstructures, facades and internal works -BEng in Civil Engineering or equivalent -Knowledge of health and safety legislation and risk management procedures -Good awareness of project specifications and construction tolerances -First Aid training -Experience in quality management procedures and inspection processes -Experience in managing teams and mentoring junior engineers -Working knowledge of BIM including integration of 3D scanning or point cloud survey data -Chartered Engineer status -Competence in survey management and setting out control -Lifting Operations basic awareness course -Strong knowledge of engineering principles and dimensional control -Competence in digital project systems such as A-Site or Viewpoint for Projects -Excellent communication and collaboration skills
