Overview

Manage HomeFront ERP, budgets, vendor relations, and purchasing for new home construction.

Tasks

Maintain a personal time management system to facilitate organization and efficiency. Respond to calls and emails from field Construction Managers or Finish Managers regarding material shortages, take-off concerns, vendor problems, etc Respond to calls and emails from vendors regarding contracts, pricing, plans, material changes or increases, community bids and other issues related to the Purchasing Orders. Complete all paperwork, reports, and files in accordance with the company format and timeframes. Maintain all documents for subs and vendors regarding pricing and specs, including plans, community information, and documentation. Maintain with Current Suppliers, communicate with any New Vendors inquriry and search for new vendors. Create and maintain budget assemblies for new projects in HomeFront. Perform weekly new job start and job scrub process, Present a professional image in accordance with company appearance standards. Maintain and operate Home Builder ERP Software HomeFront System on a day-to-day basis.

What You Bring

Relevant field experience desired. Able to work in excess of eight hours per day in an office environment. Able to sit at a computer monitor for extended periods of time to complete take-offs and workload, meet with trade partners, and receive/return phone messages. Finger dexterity may be required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator. Must Possess good time management skills. High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Knowledge of practices and procedures of construction and building codes. Minimum 3 years’ experience in residential construction purchasing required. Home Front/Hyphen Solutions/BuildPro experience a plus. Demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills. Must possess organizational skills. Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office products (Word and Excel). College Degree is preferred. Must possess good interpersonal skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
