The Role

Overview

Install, repair, and maintain temporary power poles, lines, and generators for customers.

Tasks

-Inspect completed work for conformance with requirements of applicable safety codes -Perform installation and maintenance tasks to ensure effective operation of various electrical equipment -Enter and exit equipment by stepping and kneeling -Push 100lbs and pull 100lbs horizontally -Maintain truck logs according to state and federal regulations -Repeat the same movements -Speak clearly so customers can understand -Maintain, operate, and repair electrical systems -Install and repair of temporary power poles using hand tools and testing instruments to diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components and isolate defects in wiring, switches, motors and other elements of electrical systems -Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures -Sit while driving and stand while servicing products -Maintain telephone or radio contact with dispatch to update dispatch when on and offsite and to receive additional instructions, and for changes to work locations -Mount motors, transformers and lighting fixtures into position and complete circuits according to diagram specifications -Use hands and fingers to handle, control or feel objects tools or controls

What You Bring

-Lift up to 40lbs from your waist to your shoulders -Lift 30lbs from the floor to your head -Crouch and squat -Three years experience as a journeyman electrician. -Valid Driver License (CDL or non-commercial). -Hear sounds and recognize the difference between them -Strong problem-solving and decision making skills. -Walk up to 30 minutes at a time without exertion -Excellent time management, customer service and communication skills. -Understand the speech of another person
