Tasks

-Identify emerging technologies (e.g., AI, machine learning, cloud-based controls) and assess their applicability to HVAC controls -Lead competitive benchmarking activities to identify and address product gaps. These include product tear-downs, PEP process, customer surveys, online research and other benchmarking methodologies -Develop and manage a portfolio of IAQ-focused control solutions, including CO₂ sensors, VOC detectors, particulate matter sensors, and integrated air purification systems -Perform market research & customer sensing activities required to refine product designs -Collaborate with other Rheem divisions to promote cross divisional partnerships in controls to jointly developing products and new technologies -Collaborate with R&D and system engineering and manufacturing to develop new products -Identify and implement smart control strategies that optimize IAQ while balancing energy efficiency -Ensure product compliance with ASHRAE standards, UL/CE certifications, regulations and local building codes -Support the development and maintenance of product literature, product training, sales training, product pricing and product marketing materials -Contributing Respectfully - Sharing opinions, valuing ideas, sharing opposing perspectives with respect -Collaborate with UI/UX teams to ensure intuitive interfaces and seamless integration with tablet and mobile apps -Lead cross-functional team on product development projects utilizing the Product Development Council and Product Development Process -Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for HVAC control systems, including BACnet, Modbus, and IoT-enabled devices -Set Strategy for marketing and commercialization activities for product launches -Collaborate with other departments such as Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, Marketing, Finance to ensure profitable growth of product category and successful execution of various product development projects -Provide product leadership at customer and internal events & meetings -Lead the development of programmable, smart, and learning thermostats for commercial applications -Define and execute the product roadmap for Rheem Commercial Air Controls

What You Bring

-Showcase familiarity with IAQ technologies (CO₂, VOC, PM2.5 sensors) and smart thermostats -Capable of maintaining sensitive/confidential information. -Highlight experience with protocols like BACnet, Modbus, and KNX -Experience with New Product Development Process of engineered products -Ability to travel around 20% to 30% within the US -Engineering or marketing background with industry experience preferred. -Listening to Understand – Open mind, learning from others, accepting feedback, embracing the objective -Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a matrix team environment. -Prior experience in sales, marketing or product management in the HVAC industry -7+ years of experience in product management -Demonstrate deep knowledge of HVAC systems, building automation, and control technologies -Bachelor degree in marketing, business management, engineering or related field -Ability to think outside the box to offer new ideas, concepts, solutions, etc. -Master’s degree in marketing or business management -Demonstrated project management and team leadership skills. -Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite. -Thinking Creatively – Applying creativity, seeking improvements, understanding from the customers’ lens -Strong analytical, organization, time management and multi‐tasking skills. -Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.
